The Bull Valley Plan Commission is a seven member body, chaired by resident Dick Magerl.  The Commission is charged with oversight and review of the Village’s comprehensive plan and the planning process.

The Bull Valley Comprehensive Land Use and Preservation Plan was completed and adopted in December of 2011.  The Commission is currently working on a number of sub plans, including a strategic planning survey, a greenways plan and a plan for Village property at Queen Ann and Bull Valley Roads, known as the Still Farm.  The Still Farm plan includes the new dog park and restoration of the remnant oak savannah as a passive use park with walking trails.  Other areas of the property are under study for appropriate uses.

The Plan Commission is also charged with administration of the Village subdivision ordinance.  Developers of land in the Village or its mile and half jurisdictional planning area, are first required to submit a sketch plan to the Plan Commission to determine compliance with the ordinance.

The Bull Valley Comprehensive Land Use and Preservation Plan and an addendum with supporting and research materials are available digitally by email request to bvplanning1@yahoo.  The Village subdivision ordinance and all other village ordinances are available at Village Hall for a nominal copy fee, by calling the Village Clerk ahead of pick up.

The Plan Commission meets the third Monday evening of each month at 7:00 pm, except when the meeting falls on a holiday.  The public is welcome at all meetings of the Village, but please call the Village Clerk to confirm the date.
