ACCESS TO PUBLIC DOCUMENTS

The Village of Bull Valley is an incorporated municipality in McHenry County Illinois that represents the residents of the municipality in the interest of their health, welfare and safety.

The Village was formed in 1977 by residents concerned about uncontrolled development altering the glacial topography and rural lifestyle that they moved into the area to enjoy. Since then this enduring philosophy has continued to shape the physical character of the Village as like-minded residents join the founding families in the area.

The Village is small, with a population of 1077 in the 2010 census, but spread out over and area of 7.3 square miles. It has one Village Hall in an historic 1800’s Georgian style residence that was formerly home to the first family to settle in the area. It currently has three full time employees, six part-time employees, and an operating budget of approximately $1 million.

The structure of the Village consists of:
  • Village President and Board of Trustees
